Welcome to our Farmstand
We hope you stop by our Farmstand to say hello and get your family some fresh produce grown with organic practices and a delicious baked good.
To bring the Farmstand into your home, we want to share what we are growing, baking, buying, and selling.
Frequently asked questions
I operate under New York State’s Home Processing Exemption, which allows certain non-potentially hazardous foods to be prepared in a home kitchen and sold directly to consumers. My baked goods are produced in small batches, follow New York State food safety guidelines, and are sold in accordance with state regulations.
The Home Processing Exemption applies to shelf-stable items such as breads, cookies, and other baked goods that do not require refrigeration. While these products are not made in a commercial kitchen, they are prepared with care, cleanliness, and attention to quality and food safety.
In addition, my village zoning allows for a small farmstand to be operated in my front yard, which is where in-person sales take place.
All products are properly labeled as required by New York State, and I am registered with the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets.
My Bake Shop focuses on small-batch, homemade baked goods such as sourdough breads, cookies, and cinnamon rolls. Because everything is baked in limited quantities, the menu changes regularly based on availability, season, and demand.
The most up-to-date menu is always shared on my website and social media pages. Checking back often—or joining my email list—is the best way to see what’s coming next and to avoid missing popular items that sell out quickly.
Orders may be placed through the website when pre-ordering is available or in person at the farmstand during posted hours. For popular items or special bakes, pre-orders may be offered in limited quantities to ensure freshness and availability. The lead time is four days to ensure ingredients, and to give Sourdough the proper time to rise and proof.
Because this is a small, home-based bake shop, quantities are intentionally limited and items are available on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise noted.
Sunshine Farmstand is a small, family-run bake shop. I am a full-time Literacy Teacher at a local elementary school, and outside of baking, my husband and I are busy raising and shuttling our two young children to their activities throughout the week.
Because of this, baking and farmstand hours may vary and quantities are intentionally limited. This approach allows me to focus on quality, freshness, and balance between family, teaching, and baking. The best way to stay informed about hours, menus, and availability is to check the website, follow along on social media, or join the email list.
